Last two for a while...

Well, here are the last two paintings for a while! The first is an 11x14 flat with a quote from the Great Debator and embellished with a bit of glitter. This was an experimental design.... what do you think? The second is a quick 8x10 flat for a new baby girl! Enjoy.... and hope to see you soon :) Hakuna Matata for now!

P.S. Sorry for the poor photos.... I forgot to take pictures before delivery so I snapped these in the car before I handed them over!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! Sorry for my delayed absence from the blog and I will go ahead and apologize for the absence to come. My husband and I will be moving to Jacksonville, Florida in the coming weeks so I will be taking a break from painting to tend to the packing and moving.

There are just a couple more pieces to post and I will save them for tomorrow maybe! Until then, here are two from the holiday season... One is an old favorite in a new color and the second is another original for a little boy named Jonah's room. Enjoy!

Thankful for completed orders!!! Enjoy...

Well, I have a few more orders completed and managed to sneak in a "trial" painting. Let me tell you about the trial first. It is pictured below and is my first attempt at a cute personalized "Necklace Holder". Fitted with 4 cup hooks for hanging this is the perfect way to display your necklaces while keep them out of a tangled mess! Could be painted in a variety of patterns and colors... the possibilities are endless. I am dreaming of a "three tier set" to include the size pictured below plus one smaller for bracelets and one taller for the longer necklaces and accessories. What do you think? I would love to hear your feedback so be sure to comment :)

8x10 FSU Seminoles canvas for a new little Nole!

A very important order from my husband! He wanted the Noles Spear on his hard hat so I painted one on both sides and put his old number on the back :)

Fun!

Hello Studio Blog.... It's been a while since I've posted anything! I finished all of my standing orders and they were pretty much repeats of some past work so I didn't take any new pictures. However, for the first time in a long time I was able to just "play paint" last night for myself and for fun. Here is an 11x14 stretched canvas I did for our front door. The green "Line with polka dots" is actually ribbon. I plan to embellish it a bit more tonight.

Below that one is a new idea I am playing around with. Since we live in a small home with no fireplace there isn't a good place to hang our Christmas Stockings.... hence this little diddy. Clearly it is unfinished, but I had to give you a sneak peak anyway. I think I will need to space the knobs out more on the next one. I also plan to do a glitter glaze on the word "Stockings". This is an 18x8 piece of MDF which I painted and my sweet hubby Jon drilled holes for my cute black knobs/stocking hangers!

Let me know what you think!!!

Neighbors!

This has easily become a new favorite! A custom order from a client in Maryland she told me her idea and this is what came out... Too cute don't you think? If I was a new baby in the neighborhood I would want one of these :)

4 of the 31 orders for the month of August!

WOW! What a crazy month this has been.... 31 orders and technically the month isn't even over! To be perfectly honest I am a little overwhelmed. I never dreamed of having quite this much on my plate, but I am excited none the less. Finding time to fill all these orders is another thing entirely.

It has been a wonderful first year in the studio and I must say thank you to all who have placed orders and recommended me to friends and family. I am looking forward to see what this new year will bring..... more studio time please!

So, here are just a few of the orders I have been working on... nothing fancy, but still cute! I can't wait to share with you the other projects that are currently on my table. Hopefully I will have much more to share after the holiday weekend.

P.S. If you are thinking of placing an order please know that the current wait time is approximately 3-4 weeks due to the high volume of orders collected this month. I will post when this time frame changes :)

New Baby items...

Here are some new products I have been trying out.... Personalized Baby Blocks and pails. The very first child I ever baby-sat for is now having a baby of his own so I thought he and his wife (and baby Brody) deserved a special gift. Daddy Matt is a huge fisherman so naturally I chose a fishing theme. The blocks are 2x2 squares and painted on 4 sides with a letter in 4 different fonts (some capitals, some lower case), then on the two "ends" are small paintings of fishing gear... sailboat, hook, pole, bobber and waves! The bucket is an 8 quart galvanized steel bucket with painted fishing pole and "Brody's Bait". I apologize for not taking pictures before I packaged them :)

The idea seemed to be a success at the Baby Shower... what do you think? Leave me a comment and let me know!!!

Mother's Day Surprise

Here's a look at my mother's gift from this past Sunday. I think she was definitely surprised. It is a stretched 11x14 with painted "blue bird toile" and a poem by Robert Frost. Sorry for the poor photographs.... lighting was not on my side Sunday!

I just love this chair! It is one of my favorites... and I just wanted to spice the pictures up just a bit. Prepare yourself for some unusual shots in the future! This is a 5x7.
